IBPS PO photo and signature size

IBPS PO wants a 200×230 photograph at 20–50 KB, a 140×60 signature at 10–20 KB, a 240×240 thumb at 20–50 KB, and an 800×400 declaration at 50–100 KB.

Your image never leaves this phone. The resize happens on this device. ExamPicResizer does not receive the file.

Prepare the file

The notice says 200 × 230 pixels is preferred and the file should be 20–50 KB.

Target 200×230 px, 20–50 KB

What the notice says

CRP PO/MT-XV will not move to the next step until the photograph and signature match the scanning guidelines. The photograph is a recent colour passport picture, 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm, preferably 200 × 230 pixels and 20–50 KB. A live photo is captured as well.

You also upload a signature, a left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration. The declaration has fixed wording, must be in your handwriting, and must not be in capital letters. Preferred pixel sizes are printed in Annexure III.

Passport photograph

The notice says 200 × 230 pixels is preferred and the file should be 20–50 KB.

  • Recent colour passport photograph. The notice prints “4.5 cm × 3.5 cm” beside the pixels and does not label which centimetre is the width.
  • 200 × 230 pixels is the size this tool exports. The notice calls it preferred.
  • File between 20 KB and 50 KB. JPG or JPEG.
  • No cap, hat, or dark glasses. Religious headwear may stay if the face is clear.
Signature

Preferred size printed in the scanning guidelines.

  • Sign on white paper with a black ink pen. Not in capital letters.
  • 140 × 60 pixels preferred. File 10 KB to 20 KB.
Left thumb impression
  • Left thumb on white paper in black or blue ink.
  • 240 × 240 pixels, described as 3 cm × 3 cm at 200 DPI. File 20 KB to 50 KB.
  • If the left thumb cannot be used, the notice explains which other digit to use and asks you to name it in the image.
Handwritten declaration
  • Write the declaration in English, in your own hand, in black ink. Not in capital letters.
  • 800 × 400 pixels, 10 cm × 5 cm at 200 DPI. File 50 KB to 100 KB.
  • Text: “I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Why these files get rejected

  • File bigger than the maximum, or smaller than the minimum, in the upload slot.
  • Signature or declaration written in capital letters.
  • Photograph with a cap, dark glasses, harsh shadow, or a background that is not light.
  • Thumb impression of someone else, or a blank thumb image.
  • Swapping the files, so the signature is uploaded in the photograph slot.

Questions candidates actually ask

What is the IBPS PO photo size?

4.5 cm × 3.5 cm, preferably 200 × 230 pixels, 20 KB to 50 KB, JPG. The guidelines call 200 × 230 preferred. There is also a separate live capture.

What is the IBPS PO signature size?

Preferably 140 × 60 pixels, 10 KB to 20 KB, black ink on white paper, not in capital letters.

What do I write in the declaration?

Write this in English, in your normal handwriting, not capitals: “I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” Scan it to about 800 × 400 pixels and 50–100 KB.

My left thumb impression is not possible. What does the notice say?

Use the right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, use a finger in the order the annexure describes, and write which digit it is inside the uploaded image.
